Writing Your Birth Plan

At my last doctor's visit, I brought her my birth plan. I found a great checklist on the babycenter.com website (link to birth plan - http://www.babycenter.com/calculators-birthplan ). My doctor wanted to take a look at it and then discuss it at my next appointment. She seemed really impressed with the checklist that she asked me where I found it so that she could refer it to other patients. I was wondering if you all had written or are going to write a birth plan. If so, what do you think about the babycenter's checklist? Are they forgetting anything?

Restlessness then Exhaustion

I have now 5 more weeks. Starting last week, I kept getting bursts of energy. I couldn't seem to stay still. I think this was a mix of getting everything ready for Christmas and the anxiety of "the baby is almost here." This week, I have had sudden bursts of energy but now it's followed with complete exhaustion. My sister and I went shopping this afternoon, but when I got home - I had to just sit for a couple of hours. That is not me at all. I guess that's what happens in the last month. Is anyone else feeling like this?

Exercises

What kinds of exercises have you all been doing (or have done during pregnancy)? I love to go walking to stretch my legs. Now it is getting so cold, so I've been trying to do some squats that have helped. Do you all have any suggestions - especially to help your body prepare for labor?

Immunizations

Have you all decided whether you will have your infants immunized? If so, are you going to follow all of the recommendations for immunization prior to 1 years of age? I still am confused about this decision. One of our friends recommended that we wait until our child is 1 years old, but an article in Parenting sounded like there was no need to worry about waiting. What do you all think?

Workshops

Have any of you been to any workshops yet - either for this pregnancy or a previous one? My husband and I went to Memorial Hospital's "Taking Care of You" workshop this past week. The nurse talked to the participants about what happens during your stay and the hospital and what you can expect to happen to your body after birth and 6 weeks afterwards. Some of the information freaked me out because it made everything so real. At the end of the workshop, the nurse gave everyone a tour of the maternity suites. By that time my emotions had calmed down. :)

We have registered for two other workshops: "Breastfeeding" and "Baby User's Manual." Others have recommended Lamaze as well. I probably will end up taking that workshop as well.

Online Resources

What kind of online resources have you found most helpful? I found the BabyCenter.com to have lots of great information. Have any of you gone to this site?
